What you can count on

The sites we set out to be better than make money from a one-dollar result and a subscription you did not notice. Here is what we do instead, written as commitments you can hold us to.

Your result is free, and it is yours

  • Every core result is shown in full, with no account. It stays in your browser until you choose to save it.
  • Signing in saves it to your account and lets you see it on other devices. Paying only ever unlocks the deeper report.
  • Sharing is something you do on purpose: a public link you create, private by default, that you can switch off at any time. It shows no name.

Paying, when it exists

  • Today nothing is for sale. Paid tiers appear on the pricing page at their real state, coming or planned, with no button that does nothing.
  • A one-time report is one time. The checkout page states the amount and whether anything recurs, in large type, before you pay.
  • No preselected trial and no subscription you did not choose. If a trial exists, you opt in, and we remind you three days before it turns into a charge.
  • Cancelling a subscription will take one step, from your account settings, without emailing anyone.
  • Refund terms are published on the checkout page and on this page before the first paid release.

Your data

  • Anonymous attempts are tied to a token in your browser, not to a person. Signing in later claims them; nothing is linked behind your back.
  • Deleting your account deletes your attempts, answers, results and share links with it.
  • Answers are used to calibrate the tests only after they are separated from accounts, and only in aggregate.
  • Analytics run on our own server and set no tracking cookies. The only cookies remember your language and colour theme.
  • Payments, when they arrive, are handled by Stripe; card details never touch our servers.

What a result is, and is not

  • No test here is a diagnosis. None screens for a condition, and none should be used to decide something about another person.
  • We show only what the evidence supports; how that is decided is on the method page.
  • If a page, a share card or an email ever claims more than the method page allows, that is a bug, and we would like to hear about it.
